The presets in this workflow bring the timeless aesthetics of classic photojournalism, iconic film stocks and a sense of minimalism to digital photo editing. I created this workflow to streamline my editing process and standardize the look I apply to photos in post processing. It’s become an invaluable resource to me, so I’ve decided to make it available to anyone who might want to learn from it or apply aspects of my editing process to their own.

Most presets on the market today prioritize variety and heavy stylization. These prioritize nuance and subtlety. They’re designed to strike a balance between style and versatility. The pack begins with presets that are remarkably subtle, and they become increasingly more stylized as you work your way down the list. Each one is designed be used in conjunction with the preset Amount slider. The style can be lowered or increased significantly without falling apart like most presets. It’s not uncommon for me to run them anywhere between 30% and 150%. They can handle it. It’s what they’re made for. These are the presets I use every day in my commercial work and my personal work. I hope this workflow brings as much value to your photography experience as it has to mine.
